How did I not know about this?

Local Natives - This band rocks my socks.

I had never heard of them before seeing them play FYFFest 2010, and by the next day I found out my friend Jason knows the bassist and my friend Matt has hung out with the drummer and MY ROOMMATE WORKED ON THEIR LATEST MUSIC VIDEO THE OTHER DAY. They are awesome live, because they each seem to play approximately 3 instruments (really well), and that’s not including floors and doors and trees and rafters and stuff.

Red Riding Trilogy - It’s like Zodiac with hard-to-discern Great Britain accents.

The stylish 70s aesthetic lends a very cool look to the slow-burn, chilling, sometimes unsettling corruption and crime stories.  Plus, it has Andrew Garfield, whom you’ll only appreciate more after realizing that one of the pitch-perfect voices you’ve heard him use has to be fake.

Archer – I haven’t been this stoked about an underrated animated show since “Sit Down Shut Up.” So…like a year.

I basically spend time with two groups of friends, with plenty of overlapping to refute this sweeping generalizing: my gay male friends and my straight male friends.  This show feels like it’s written by my group of straight male friends.  Or maybe it wrote them.  Either way, watching it is like getting invited to Football Night.  #stereotype

By the way, I have no female friends in town.  I’m beginning to think this is a problem.
