En route to Hana Japan for my sister’s birthday…
My father: So where are we going, Jimmy Hoffa?
Me: What?
My mother: Jimmy Hoffa is a person, not a restaurant.
My sister: Earlier he asked me if I wanted “McClintock” when he meant Quiznos.
Me: Well, naturally. They sound alike.
My father: Well, where ARE we going, Benny Jin?
This is the man who consistently refers to Freddie Prinze Jr.’s character on “24″ as “Tony Banderas” (and once wrote it out as “Hulio Banderass.”)
